The sports vocation of the Republic of San Marino is well known and deep-rooted. A hilly terrain ideal for motor-racing competitions of various kinds (car rallies, enduro, motorcycle rallies) and top-ranking sports facilities enable the small State to grow in importance on specific occasions.
The last was the organization of the 17th Games of the Small States of Europe, with Andorra, Cyprus, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco and Montenegro competing in 13 different sports.
The sports facilities where the competitions took place include a modern and well-equipped tennis centre with 8 courts, six in red earth and two with fast “play it” surface; a soccer stadium, gyms, a sports field, an Olympic stadium and an Olympic pool inside the Multieventi Sport Domus.
Other facilities include squash courts, beach tennis, paddle tennis and 5-a-side football pitch in the ultra-modern Beach Planet.
These sports facilities are located in the lower part of the Republic, only a few kilometres from the Rimini boundary and represent an ideal context for organizing company mini-Olympics, able to completely reverse company hierarchies, create cohesion and sharing, but also a healthy competitive spirit.
